AVANT is recruiting for an experienced Office Manager for a Durham area client.  The position will report to the company owner and be responsible for coordinating all office functions, including; accounting, development, sales & leasing, and property management.

Duties for this job will include:

1) Bookkeeper using Quickbooks for the various companies operated by the related entities
a. Accounts payable
b. Accounts receivable
c. Management reporting vs budget
d. Invoicing / customer billing & reconciliation
e. Bank reconciliations
f. Mortgage tracking
g. Taxes prep for 3rd party accountant
2) Property Management for small office & retail projects across the Triangle.
a. Single point of contact for Owners/ Tenants
b. Budgeting
c. Vendor interface
d. Insurance (vendor, property and owners)
3) Organization of company records (plats, plans, inventory, site plans, rezoning, project files, etc)
4) Maintain company website and related 3rd party subscriptions (Co-Star, Tacquire, Triangle CPE, etc)
5) Market Research
a. Comparable tracking
b. Sales & lease trending
c. Siteplan / bldg permits / construction activity
d. Prospect / mailers
6) Graphics/Designer for flyer, brochures and general marketing
7) Event planning and advertising

Education/Experience/Skills
1) Prefer college graduate
2) 3 to 5 years of experience in Real Estate related field (brokerage, construction, finance, property management, etc)
3) Quickbooks profiency
4) Microsoft – Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Internet (explorer or google chrome, etc)
5) Graphics of any type (windows or mac)
6) Attention to detail / organizational aptitude
7) Good interpersonal skills. Will often be the voice of the company
8) Independent worker with little supervision needed
