Tunnel to Towers Fundraiser

AVANT is happy to work in support of the Big Hearted Moms Foundation and their fundraising efforts toward the ‘Tunnel to Towers 5k’. Here are the details:

Big Hearted Moms Foundation

Big Hearted Moms Foundation is a group of men and women from all walks of life. Our mission is to educate and help people in our community that have been hit by unforeseen events in their lives. As part of that mission, we support the mission of The Stephen Siller Tunnel To Towers Foundation: “To honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. We also honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life and limb for our country.” We believe in giving back to our community in numerous ways. We serve by supporting Building for America’s Bravest Program which builds Smart Homes for our most catastrophically injured service members returning home, as well as other local initiatives that support our first responders and military.
As part of our mission to support first responders, our goal is for 50 of our local firefighters/first responders to participate in the Tunnel To Towers 5k race in New York. For a firefighter in his full gear to have the privilege to not only run this race, but to have ALL expenses covered, is a rewarding and humbling experience for them. Not only do they get the honor to run with their brothers in service in full gear of 60 pounds retracing Stephen Siller’s footsteps, they do this with the knowledge that they have the respect and support of their community through generous donations from companies like yours that make this possible.
