This position will support the Sales and Marketing Manager in delivering excellent customer care and generating increased sales of organic produce from farms to customers throughout North Carolina and up and down the East Coast. Additionally, the Sales and Administrative Assistant will be a front line problem-solver in the  office, providing administrative support and serving as a communication liaison between customers, production, quality, and logistics staff.

CUSTOMER MAINTENANCE + SALES SUPPORT responsibilities will include:

  • Answer phones and address inquiries
  • Manage info@ email address for sales and customer support
  • Invoice creation
  • Order confirmation and substitutions
  • Sales calls – product targeted and weekly reminders
  • Customer pickup hosting and delegation
  • Maintain list serves (price lists, growers, etc…)
  • New customer TLC
  • Sales-focused product matchmaking
  • Liaison of critical information with Quality and Logistics
  • Product sample execution and follow up
  • Generate customer-specific sales lists
  • Respond to item availability and forecasting requests
  • Distribute pictures and quality updates to customers
  • Recipe/demo support (recipe cards, planning, etc.)
  • Support the sales + marketing strategy with online, print, and other outreach methods

ADMINISTRATIVE responsibilities will include:

  • Handle reception area and aesthetics
  • Assistance in hosting customers or events
  • Event registration/preparation support
  • Data entry (invoice & PO updates)
  • Maintain/distribute any organic certifications, insurance certificates, tax ID forms, expense reimbursement forms, credit references, food safety docs.
  • Invoicing for boxes and marketing materials
  • Prep deposits
  • Statements/collections
  • Sending out freight invoices/updates
  • Monthly A/R aging report
  • Process Credits
  • Manage jar deposits
  • Phone systems management
  • Donations management

HOURS: 40+

Monday through Friday, 8am-4pm

Salary and Benefit Package Available.  Salary depends on experience.
